Johanna Medlyn

Senior Physiotherapist & Director

Bachelor of Physiotherapy. APAM. Certified Pinc & Steel Cancer Physiotherapist.

Johanna is a senior Physiotherapist with over 13 years’ experience working in private practice in regional Victoria. Over her career, Johanna has been fortunate to work in different settings across inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as private practice.

Johanna completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Albury, NSW.  She gained extensive experience and knowledge over her five years employment at St. John of God Bendigo Hospital, working alongside esteemed physiotherapy research practitioners, and within diverse clinical roles amongst a supportive, knowledgeable team. Many of Johanna’s former colleagues remain friends and professional confidants, providing mentoring and support.

Johanna is passionate about physiotherapy and helping this growing community. Taking a holistic approach to treatment, and individualising treatment plans to the person, is at the forefront of Johanna’s practice. She achieves patient goals through using a combination of manual therapy, and exercise to improve the way people move in everyday life and sporting endeavours.

Johanna has strong interests in treating sports and musculoskeletal injuries, headaches, back and neck pain and also really enjoys post-operative rehab. Johanna offers dry needling, pre and post natal checks, clinical pilates and strength and conditioning.

Away from her clinic, you will find Johanna in her garden or veggie patch, pushing kids in swings or prams, chalk painting, caring for her indoor plant collection of 45+ plants, caravanning with her family, moving/feeding sheep and even on the chainsaw cutting wood!

Monique Tillig

Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Applied Science & Master of Physiotherapy Practice. APAM.

Monique completed her Physiotherapy degree at LaTrobe University in Bendigo. Throughout her degree, Monique gained valuable experience across musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, neurological and paediatric fields within both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Monique also worked within a busy private practice in Swan Hill where she developed a keen interest in post-operative, sporting and neurological rehabilitation, in particular Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone Disease.

Monique aims to provide a tailored healthcare approach, employing the most current evidence-based practice to achieve the best health outcomes for her clients. She is passionate about working alongside clients to help achieve their goals, whether that be promoting independence in the elderly or assisting your return to pre-injury function.

Having been with the SAPC team since the beginning of 2023, Monique quickly became an integral part of the team and a valuable asset to SAPC. She is both knowledgeable and skilled as a physio beyond her experience, and continually attracts positive praise from all her patients. She may be slight in frame, but do not underestimate her strength! You’ll be cared for compassionately and effectively by Monique.

Aidan Goode

Physiotherapist

Bachelor of Physiotherapy. APAM. Accredited Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Aidan completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Monash University. He started his physiotherapy career in Geelong at Kieser Australia, a company which specialises in delivering strength training for surgical rehabilitation, injury prevention and improvements in health.

Aidan has experience working in sport as a Sports Trainer for Old Xaverians Football Club in VAFA and as the Head Physiotherapist for Grovedale Football Club in the Geelong Football League. In these roles, Aidan built skills in managing a variety of acute sporting injuries in players with abilities ranging from ex-AFL to VFL level.

Aidan has a strong clinical interest in sporting injuries, hip and groin pain, restoring posture, managing osteoarthritis and joint replacement prevention and facilitating regular strength training across all age groups.

In his spare time, Aidan enjoys exercising: playing hockey, tennis and training in the gym. He also enjoys spending time with his immediate and extended family. 


 

Meet Your Exercise Physiologist!


 

Chloe Douglas

Accredited Exercise Physiologist & Pilates Instructor

B.Ex.Sports.Sc/Grad.Dip.Clin.Ex.Phys

After completing a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology at Ballarat University, Chloe relocated to Darwin in the Northern Territory to begin working in her chosen career. Chloe undertook an Exercise Physiology role incorporating both a clinical setting in Darwin and also traveling remotely across a range of remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory. Chloe gained valuable experience in the management of chronic disease and a range of complex conditions throughout her time working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

After moving back to her home state of Victoria, Chloe was delighted to join an allied health team in Ocean Grove and Newtown where she established herself as Senior Practitioner and Clinical Mentor/Educator. Chloe has a strong interest in women’s health especially when working collaboratively with her clients to meet their movement goals. Chloe utilises real time ultrasound as a way of feedback to her clients to correctly contract the core and pelvic floor. This has been achieved through tailored exercise programs or Chloe’s experience delivering Clinical Pilates, including a focus on returning to exercise postpartum and helping all women feel comfortable and confident to move through life! Chloe is enthusiastic and motivating in her approach to exercise therapy and always goes above and beyond for all her clients.

When Chloe is not busy in the clinic she enjoys walking with her fur babies Lola and Frankie or exercising her competitive streak on the netball court. Chloe also enjoys spending her free time with family and friends and plotting her next all Aussie adventure.

 Meet Your Speech Pathologist!


Holly Kesper

Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist

Bachelor of Speech Pathology. Speech Pathology Australia member.

Holly is a senior Speech Pathologist with over 15 years’ experience working in private practice & private hospitals in regional Victoria. Holly completed her Bachelor of Speech pathology at Charles Sturt University in Albury, NSW.

Holly is passionate about adult speech therapy intervention and is very experienced in conducting swallowing assessments and language & communication assessments.

Holly’s interest areas are in dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), progressive neurological conditions and rehabilitation following stroke.

Away from SAPC, Holly also works at SJOG Bendigo Hospital, and helps her husband on their sheep and wool farm. Her two children and their activities take up any spare time Hol has!
