Clinical Reformer Therapy

Clinical Reformer Therapy or Clinical Pilates is a form of rehabilitation facilitated by qualified Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists using specialised pilates equipment.

It is used in conjunction with physiotherapy treatments to achieve patient goals with a focus on core stability, control and balance. It targets the powerhouse of the body, the amazing core.

“Clinical Pilates” is different from gym based pilates. It is carefully selected exercises in the patient’s preferred movement pattern which are utilised with their specific injuries in mind, ensuring optimal gains whilst minimising the likelihood of injury aggravation.

We use a variety of equipment including Reformer, Wunda chair, Mat, and Trapeze to specifically tailor movement patterns for the individual.

Johanna, Chantelle and Chloe are experienced and trained in DMA Clinical Pilates method of prioritising movement based classification and treatment principles and directional bias when choosing the correct fit of exercises.

Clinical Reformer Therapy is claimable on private health insurance.
